NASACRE is pleased to report that the Charity Commission has agreed that we have met the criteria for becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). As of 11 March, NASACRE has been entered onto the Register of Charities with the Registered Charity Number 1212494. Everybody on our current Executive is deciding whether to stand for election to become a member of the new CIO Executive. For some, their time on the Exec has come to an end, and so there will be specific vacancies for a number of new Exec members and officers. Elections will be held at our 2025 AGM in London on 19 May. Nominations will close the week before. Our current Exec met earlier this month to prepare the groundwork for the elections, and then details will go out to all SACREs. We are reliant on member SACREs to now nominate people with the right skills to serve on the new Exec to take our CIO forward into the next phase of our work.
